A Turning Wheel
A phyle of chimera that became prevalent since the start of the global financial crisis in 2007. Found most often prowling in Boston’s Financial District, these manifold nervosa have been nicknamed Losses by local kithain as they all have powers related to fear of losing belongings, shelter and security. Most exhibit redes that can destroy chimerical items, instill panic in their victims or allow them to become immaterial. Their behaviors are particularly insidious as they tend to harass targets over time and feed off the growing sense of despair created.
News of layoffs, housing failures and stalled developments tends to trigger a wave of newly spawned Losses, and the Knights of the Bridges as well as the households of the Baron of Beacon Hill and County of the Proud City have been hard-pressed to keep them contained. With the positive economic news of the past few months things were improving, but the political focus on budget fights has triggered a fresh wave of them.
Currently the area around Government Center and State St. downtown is under a travel ban; kithain should not travel here without arranging escort or assistance from Baron Ryman or the ’Bridgers.
